Painting on stoneware eggs

In all that exists, the Human being can be seen among the infinitely small since the creation of the earth and the infinitely large with the existence of galaxies and constellations. The constellation of sandstone eggs is painted with shapes and images that belong to the world of mycelium and, more specifically, bioluminescent fungi. It's quite extraordinary that natural species are visible in both light and darkness. The shape of these objects arranged in space recreates a small galaxy of mushrooms.

A series of preparatory ink drawings accompany the installation of the eggs to suggest the appearance, movement, evolution and rhythm of these mushrooms.

The stoneware eggs were created by BIOPYTHOS, in Limoges, and are containers used for maturing and preserving wine. Audrey has been done several artist-in-residency with Biopythos between 2023 - 2024.
